I should have started documenting this much much sooner.
So rob & i were bicycling up this steepish hill just north of
Akureyri, iceland, and i found these two clear plastic rubber type bracelets by the side of the road.
One a pale green, the other red. So i put them on. About two weeks later
i noticed that the green one was in fact pale blue. I figured i'd misjudged
its color originally. But then over the next week or so, it changed to a
deep, rich Blue and then on to Violet! There was no mistaking it.
The changes were slow, taking days. It didn't seem to respond to temperature,
sunlight, flourescent light, water, anything. So it was purple whilst in Bergen, norway.
Then i bicycled to Oslo, norway, over about four days, and it changed back to green!
You can see it distinctly green below. Then in oslo it faded a bit, into light-green.
Then i returned to California, and it changed to this sort of icky nicotine-stain brown color.
We went to burning person, and i expected it to shift back to green, since
my theory at the time that it was some sort of sensitivity to prolongued
sunlight-exposure. But no. It stayed nicotine-stain brown. It remained that
color for about a month and a half. I even put it in the fridge for a few
days to see if extended absence of UV light & temperature might have an effect.
-Nope. So i took it out of the fridge and had given up on it, when a week later
i noticed that it seemed to be making steps towards a sort of Tangerine or Cantaloupe.
That was about two days ago. It's currently an undeniable Rhubarb shade.
So i'm going to try to scan it on the scanner every day or so.
I'm honestly at a loss for explanations.
