So, yes. I felt the need to get out of SC for a bit, get cold, so i asked brenda if she felt she could make a 400 mile drive without her turbo/engine exhaust leak getting, like, motion-prohibiting, and she said Yeah sure whatever, so we took off. She did great. I stopped in mariposa to pick up 3 bean burritos from taco bell, which pretty much provided the fuel for the visit. It was cold in the valley. I camped in sunnyside, and even tho i brought loads of extra blankets i was still chilly in my "0-degrees" (cheap) sleeping bag. But that was okay. The next day i went for a hike up vernal & nevada falls. I took lots of photos of ice. At the top of NF i met some peeps who were throwing logs and stuff over the falls. It was pretty neat. Especially because they'd collide with built-up ice on the way down and start these huge roaring crashing cascades. I tried to get a movie of one such, but failed. What else. I think that's about it. Oh yeah, here's a movie of some water under ice, and here's one of a log going over nevada falls, except i think i didn't actually get the log. But you can hear the ice cracking. If you like that water under ice movie, i have another about 8 times longer.
